History of the Department

The Department of Electronic Technologies is considered one of the foundational pillars of the institute since its inception, as the department was established concurrently with the founding of the institute in 1988. Over the decades, the department has kept pace with the rapid developments in the world of technology and electronics to remain a vital provider of technical competencies for industrial and service institutions.

The department opens its doors annually to attract students of both genders, including graduates from preparatory schools (Science branch) and graduates from vocational schools (exclusively the Industrial branch). Thus, it represents the ideal academic bridge for transitioning students from general and vocational education to an applied technical specialization.
