Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance

Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance is a fundamental pillar in the Prosthetics Technology Department. The department believes that academic success and technical excellence can only be achieved through a balanced and healthy psychological environment. This unit aims to support and guide students in overcoming social, psychological, and academic obstacles they may face during their university life.

Objectives of Psychological Counseling in the Department

1. University Adaptation: Helping new students quickly adapt to the academic environment and the technical education system, and facilitating a smooth transition from the preparatory/vocational stage to institute life.

2. Psychological and Social Support: Providing advice and support to students going through personal circumstances or psychological pressures that affect their performance, ensuring complete confidentiality.

3. Self-Development and Character Building: Developing students’ skills in time management, dealing with exam anxiety, and enhancing self-confidence and social responsibility.

4. Prevention and Awareness: Promoting a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and avoidance of negative behaviors, and strengthening students intellectually and behaviorally through seminars and educational workshops.

• Care for Gifted and Outstanding Students: Discovering the creative talents of students (whether academic, cultural, or artistic) and supporting them in developing and showcasing these talents in institute and university activities.
