Guideline for the Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit

The Qualification, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the Technical Institute is affiliated to the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the Presidency of the Northern Technical University, and is one of the main pillars to support and develop the capabilities and skills of graduates. This unit is subordinate to the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the Institute.

The Unit

seeks to be a pioneer in preparing distinguished technical graduates with the necessary abilities and skills to contribute to reducing unemployment rates and promoting integration into the labor market, while effectively contributing to the development of the public and private sectors.

The Unit’s Mission

Providing comprehensive and continuous support to graduates and students, through advanced training and qualification programs, and strategic partnerships with economic institutions, with the aim of providing the labor market with technically qualified cadres and enhancing employment opportunities and entrepreneurial projects.

Unit objectives


1- Encouraging graduates to create new job opportunities through establishing small and medium enterprises.
2- Spreading the work culture in the private sector instead of focusing on the public sector.
3- Providing the labor market with cadres of highly skilled and diverse technical graduates.
4-Enhancing continuous communication between students, economic institutions, international and local organizations, and unions.

Main Tasks of the Unit:


1- Job Opportunities and Advertising Department: Providing and advertising job opportunities for graduates and students in various sectors.


2-Training and Qualification Programs: Organizing training programs and workshops to develop the skills of students and graduates in line with the requirements of the labor market.


3- Developing relationships and partnerships: Establishing and strengthening partnerships with economic institutions and local and international organizations to facilitate the process of employing graduates.


4- Continuous Follow-up and Evaluation: Monitoring the performance of graduates in the labor market and evaluating the effectiveness of training and qualification programs in achieving the unit’s goals.

5. Career Support and Guidance: Providing professional support and guidance to students and graduates in how to search for jobs, prepare resumes, apply for jobs, and create special projects.


6- Documentation and archiving: Managing and documenting all data and information related to graduates, training activities, and job opportunities, to ensure their availability and easy access when needed.


7- Organizing events and activities: Organizing and implementing events, seminars, and workshops to enhance communication between students, graduates, and the labor market.


8- Data and Information Update: Regularly updating data and information to ensure its accuracy and suitability to the needs of the labor market.
