In accordance with central directives and the flow of work, the Quality Assurance Division held a joint meeting with the Program Accreditation Committee for the Medical Laboratories Department at the Institute, as part of efforts aimed at completing program accreditation requirements and enhancing the quality of academic and administrative performance.
The meeting witnessed the discussion of a number of topics related to accreditation requirements, including a review of quality indicators for curricula and their compatibility with approved national standards, as well as an evaluation of documentation mechanisms and continuous follow-up of educational and training activities.
The meeting also discussed ways to develop the laboratory environment, upgrade the level of equipment, and enhance occupational safety procedures, while emphasizing the importance of establishing a culture of quality and adhering to approved standards and procedures, which contributes to achieving the goals of program accreditation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed to prepare an action plan that includes a timetable to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations and evaluate completion rates on a regular basis, in a way that supports the academic development process and ensures the quality of educational outcomes.
