In May, the Institute’s Immediate Ambulance Department organized a course entitled Heart Failure Diagnosis and Treatment and delivered it M. M. Sawsan Salman Hosie lecture in the department and attended by a number of university members. The course dealt with the following topics: The first axis: introducing the mechanism of the heart’s work and function. The second axis: the definition of a disease and how to diagnose it. The third axis: introducing attendees to the importance of periodic examinations and how to follow up on chronic diseases and how to prevent them to avoid exacerbation. The course aimed to identify heart failure, know the causes of the condition and address the most important tests necessary for the accurate diagnosis of the disease before the condition worsens. The course showed the importance of periodic follow-up and taking the necessary tests to avoid deteriorating the patient’s health, eating healthy food and exercising continuously and holding educational seminars for the community in villages and rural areas, especially because of the many injuries in these areas and their awareness on an ongoing basis.
