A number of university employees participated in it .
The seminar aimed to :
1-Introducing the concept of sustainable development and its importance in achieving environmental balance .
2-definition and clarification of the rates achieved for sustainable development in Iraq .
3-knowledge of the role of the United Nations and international organizations in supporting sustainable development and moving to green technology
The seminar showed
1-the importance of adopting the mechanisms of modern methods of environmental balance through the shift towards the use of solar energy, hydroelectric energy and windmills in generating electrical energy instead of using diesel generators, which reduce toxic gas emissions to reduce the occurrence of global warming .
2 – the transition to green technology and environmental balance requires a review of government policies in their support, support and redesign to achieve their goal
3-the need to improve energy efficiency, switch to low-carbon technologies, and expand the use of renewable energy in the industrial and agricultural sector .
