Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Institute, the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Institute organized in December a seminar entitled Programmatically Defined Radio (SDR), which was delivered by Eng. Abdullah Amer, a teacher in the above department, and attended by a number of employees of the Institute. The seminar aimed to: 1. Identify the concept of software-defined radio 2- Identify the most important problems and challenges for him 3- Identify the most important applications used for it The symposium showed the importance of this technology in modern wireless communications, as this technology provides allowing the correction of errors during the work of the radio, which reduces the time and cost of operation and maintenance, and these devices provide a unified and standard development platform for various companies and researchers, which increases the possibility of joint work in the future.
