Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the respected University, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Maha Al-Taif Jassim, Dean of the Institute, and in the interest of the Institute to provide the educational process with what is beneficial to its students, the Sub-Committee organized to invest the energies of scholarship students at the Institute, and in cooperation with the Department of Electronic Technologies at the Institute, a scientific visit to the main power station 132 kV in the ad-Dur district / networks, in order to inform the students of how to distribute electrical energy from high voltage and lower voltages for the purpose of distributing it to homes, shops and factories that are fed with electrical energy from this station. The staff of the station, thanks to the engineers and technicians, explained it scientifically and practically, as follows: 1) A detailed explanation of the main network in the station and how the main feeders and high voltages arrive from the main network and distribute them at low voltages to other sub-stations and then to the beneficiaries, including voltage transformers, current transformers, filters for high frequencies, parts for protecting the network and the forms of electrical connection used in it 2) Introducing students to the above-mentioned process control systems using modern control boards that provide accurate and detailed information and using very modern digital gauges about the loads used, represented by the amount of electrical currents used, the amount of supplied voltage and the frequency for each breaker. This visit added to a great scientific benefit for the students and the professors supervising them, which enhances the practical aspect that they receive in the study within the above department and after their graduation and their involvement in the labor market. The students and their supervisors praised the staff of the station for the valuable help and detailed explanation for the success of this visit
