This department attracts students that graduated from high secondary school for scientific branch and technical school for industry branch only and for both sexes. In the department,the students studies an application and engineering science in mechanical in the field of production and metal. The top ten students in the department are allowed to continue their studies in engineering collages and other technical colleges of university
The VISION
Department of Mechanics is one of the main technological departments. The department aims at expanding the base of technical education and its modern applications to lead providing technical services depending on the spirit of competition and cooperation with society.
The MESSAGE
Department of Mechanics adopts a general mission which depends in its general form on the frame of technical teaching in Iraq. It attempts to achieve this mission every year to show the peculiarity of the department. The general objectives are training national technical cadres with efficient learning and training to be able to comprehend the technical systems and to support the march of technical development to cope with the fast world technical progress.
THE TARGETS
The Production branch aims at preparing the technical personal which will be a link between the specialist and the proficient worker and the department trains the students and provides them with the theoretical, practical information to be able to perform the duties assigned to them.
The mission includes the following
The use of computer technology and internet in teaching and training.
Activating the relations with the private sector in the fields of training.
Following up the development of the methods of training plans and modernizing workshops.
Cooperating with the business market and the needs of the society in training and rehabilitation.
