It is one of the newly developed medical departments established in the academic year 2018/2019. The department receives students from secondary school graduates of the Scientific (Biological) branch only and of both sexes. It is one of the main outlets for supplying hospitals and health centers with technical cadres in the field of immediate ambulance . Students are practically trained in specialized laboratories in the institute, in addition to training them in government hospitals and supervised by specialized medical personnel. Vision
The Department of Emergency Medicine seeks to achieve excellence in education and scientific research and meet the requirements of the community and to access the latest scientific and technical developments and their application in a way that allows the improvement of the quality of learning in all areas. The department devotes its efforts to creating a supportive environment that provides students with the opportunity to learn and prosper in pursuit of their future, and to provide them with paramedics who know the most accurate details in first aid and how to preserve the life of the injured and qualify them to work in the health staff with high efficiency.

The immediate aid came to meet the need of health institutions to specialized service cadres with scientific specifications and standards, as well as the preparation of cadres to work in these institutions and support the private sector in this field, and the development of teaching staff and students in scientific research and knowledge, which is the scientific balance of the department and other institutions, Scientific cooperation with the corresponding departments and relevant institutions in order to achieve continuous and high-quality interaction and interaction. In addition, the immediate ambulance department has a humanitarian message in the community, namely the development of culture, health awareness, raising the level of health in the community, all in first aid, how to deal with it and treatment of emergency cases.
Target
The branch aims at the graduation of technical medical staff capable of providing immediate and first aid and nursing care for the individual in emergency and critical conditions in the ambulance immediately until arriving at the hospital.
Job description: The graduate is qualified to do the following:
Ambulance of all emergency cases and critical injuries inside the ambulance until he reaches the hospital.
Carrying the patient correctly without doubling the injury.
Measurement of vital signs to determine the health status of the patient.
Perform artificial respiration in case of respiratory failure.
Massage the heart if it stops.
Basic CPR.
Apply electric shocks to the automatic or manual device.
Giving intravenous solutions in the correct ways and according to the patient’s need.
Use modern medical devices to diagnose the patient and monitor the development of his condition in the measurement of sugar or blood oxygen measurement and monitor.
Use wireless communication devices and respond to wireless messages according to the approved protocols.
Continuous evaluation according to the patient’s health status and prompt immediate medical treatment according to each development of the patient.
